Will you please tell me and my CurveInspire readers your name, city you work in, and facebook or web link?
I’m Chevvy Piston, I work out of Vancouver, BC and you can find me at www.chevvypiston.com or www.facebook.com/chevvypiston!
How long have you been a pinup/What got you into the world of pinup modeling?
I’ve been modeling for almost a year professionally, however I’d been in front of the lense for about 3 years. I enjoy Pin-up as a genre, but I just consider myself a model… I like to be well versed in many genres!
How did having curves affect you growing up?
It was difficult at times, I don’t have the type of body where I can eat whatever I want and stay the same shape/size. I’ve always had to work hard at staying in shape. I’ve definitely had heavier periods, especially in high school.
How did you accept your curves?
I made a committment to myself to live on my terms and do things because I genuinely wanted to, not because I was trying to conform to societies idea of “beauty”. I think all women are beautiful, and should view themselves as such. I work out because it makes me happy to do so. I eat chocolate because it also makes me happy! Live on your own terms!
How do your curves help you in your career as a model?
I don’t think my curves have helped me or hindered me in modeling. I believe in hard work and overcoming obstacles in your own way. I’ve had people slam doors in my face for my look and I’ve had people seek me out because of it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I’ve just been working my curves off to get what I’ve wanted out of modeling! I think anyone can do anything if they set their mind to it.
