Skye tries: The Paleo Diet!

In order to lose weight this summer, I decided to cut out all the crap! No pasta, no bread, no cheese, no rice, no grains to speak of! I let myself eat only fruit, vegetables, and meat in unlimited quantities (whenever I felt hungry) and I began losing weight right away. I didn’t realize I was doing the paleo diet (eating the way the early humans did, with no processed dairy or grains,) until someone told me that was what I was doing! So I looked up the paleo diet and learned that, with the help of strength training and lots of protein (fatty or not), you can lose weight and get fit! I also learned I could have up to 4 ounces of nuts a day, which I was happy about, and that you can have one beer, two glasses of wine, and/OR 4 ounces of spirits. I tried to cut down drinking to only twice a week, and the diet worked wonders! In 10 days, I had lost nine pounds!

When I added in the nuts, the weight loss began to slow down. My interest in fruit and meat dwindled considerably. This is the problem with the Paleo diet: If you do not love meat, and you crave different foods like sugars and carbs from pasta and bread, you will probably not last very long on this diet. But you feel energetic, and you don’t have to starve yourself! Based on those points, and the effectiveness of the diet, I would recommend you try this diet next!

    My aunt did this and lost massive weight but she did it forever and only recently started nibbling on carbs and sugar again in limited quantities. I’m not so brave but I have lost 14 pounds doing what I’m doing!
